Job summary

ProLift Rigging is seeking a Regional Engineering Manager to oversee engineering capability across the region, including branch engineers, lift planning, and compliance with safety standards. This role anchors engineering processes, quality, and mentorship for field teams supporting mission-critical projects.

The incumbent will collaborate with Branch Managers, lead technical authority, and report to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience in crane operations, rigging, lift planning, crane maintenance, or crane fleet management.
• Demonstrated experience with mobile cranes and relevant lifting equipment (AT cranes, crawlers, gantry, jacking).
• Extensive knowledge of crane load charts, configurations, rigging capacities, sling-angle calculations, and lift planning.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA crane and rigging requirements and industry standards.
• Ability to mentor and develop crane operators and rigging personnel through field leadership.
• Experience leading field crews, coordinating branch operations, and supporting multi-location programs.

Responsibilities

• Branch engineer development and mentoring.
• Approve capability assessment behind branch engineer levels (I, II, Senior).
• Build a regional talent pipeline through onboarding, mentorship, and succession planning.
• Coach engineers in the region on technical work, customer interaction, and field judgment.
• Ensure branch engineering work meets process and quality standards.
• Direct oversight of engineering work, including drawings, calculations, and lift plans.
• Review engineering work at the appropriate level and ensure timely compliance.
