You will secure competitive electricity, natural gas, industrial gases, and related energy services while optimizing costs and managing risk. A strong background in energy markets, tariffs, and contract negotiations is essential, with travel to facilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of energy procurement experience; 10+ years preferred.
  • Experience with electricity and natural gas procurement.
  • Knowledge of utility regulation, tariff structures, and ratemaking.
  • Experience with ERCOT, PJM, MISO, IESO, NYISO, etc.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, financial modeling, and Excel skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and vendor management experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute energy procurement strategies for electricity, natural gas, industrial gases, and related commodities.
  • Negotiate energy supply agreements and manage vendor relationships.
  • Monitor energy markets, pricing trends, and regulatory developments.
  • Analyze energy consumption, forecast demand, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage RFPs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Regional Energy Manager to lead energy procurement, market strategy, regulatory engagement, and supplier management across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role will be responsible for securing competitive electricity, natural gas, industrial gases, and related energy services while optimizing costs, managing risk, and ensuring reliable energy supply.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in energy markets, utility regulation, commodity procurement, contract negotiations, and energy policy. This individual will work closely with plant leadership, energy suppliers, regulatory agencies, and industry associations to support operational excellence and strategic energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute energy procurement strategies for electricity, natural gas, industrial gases, and related commodities.
  • Negotiate energy supply agreements and manage vendor relationships.
  • Monitor energy markets, commodity pricing trends, and regulatory developments.
  • Analyze energy consumption, forecast demand, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Advocate for favorable energy policies affecting manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain detailed reporting, energy data analysis, and procurement documentation.
  • Travel as required to support multiple facilities and industry initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required; 10+ years preferred.
  • Experience with electricity and natural gas procurement.
  • Strong understanding of utility regulation, tariff structures, and ratemaking.
  • Knowledge of organized energy markets (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, IESO, NYISO, etc.).
  • Experience with commodity markets including natural gas, electricity, and renewable energy credits (RECs).
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, financial modeling, and Excel skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and vendor management experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic energy procurement professional with experience managing large-scale industrial energy portfolios. They possess deep expertise in electricity and natural gas markets, utility tariffs, contract negotiations, energy forecasting, and regulatory affairs. Experience supporting manufacturing, metals, steel, mining, chemicals, paper, cement, or other energy-intensive industries is highly preferred. The successful candidate is comfortable influencing executive leadership, negotiating multimillion-dollar supply agreements, and representing organizational interests in regulatory and legislative environments.
