Job summary

The Sonoran Center for Excellence in Disabilities at the University of Arizona seeks a Regional Employment Systems Specialist to support statewide initiatives enhancing employment opportunities for people with disabilities across Arizona. This role builds regional partnerships, conducts community listening activities, and provides technical assistance to providers in employment services.

Travel within the assigned Arizona region is required, with emphasis on rural, Tribal, and underserved

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in community outreach, community engagement, technical assistance, training, workforce development, disability services, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field required.

Responsibilities

• Regional Outreach and Partnership Development: Build relationships with community organizations, Tribal governments and partners, entrepreneurship networks, service providers, and state systems within the assigned region.
• Deliver presentations to community partners and stakeholder groups.
• Travel throughout the region to engage rural, Tribal, and underserved communities.
• Provide technical assistance to community rehabilitation providers implementing supported employment, customized employment, and self-employment services.
• Coordinate regional activities with project teams and document outreach outcomes.
• Assist in developing training resources, tools, and service model improvements.
