Job summary

Qualifications

10 years of related experience with at least 3 in a supervisory or management capacity.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Manages the estimating functions in assigned region, area or group including budgets and staffing.
Implements estimating policies to meet corporate objectives.
Negotiates purchase orders, subcontracts and change orders during procurement.
Supervises market cost studies and materials pricing.
Reviews project details and advises on strategies, techniques, and resources.
Coordinates with design leads for cost effectiveness and constructability.
Ensures use of approved estimating systems and maintains cost databases.
Maintains historical data for estimating man-hours and bid results.
Reviews final estimate packages for accuracy and completeness.
Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for outsource pricing.
