Job summary

Ocean Spray Cranberries is hiring a Regional EHS Specialist to ensure environmental, health, and safety compliance across receiving plants. You will develop and implement policies, conduct inspections, and drive corrective actions to minimize risk while supporting incident investigations and emergency response.

The role emphasizes training delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing improvement of EHS programs, with a focus during the harvest season when 24/7 operations may occur.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or professional experience in environmental, occupational safety or related area preferred.
• Diversified background in leading others, direct or indirect.
• Experience as a trainer.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, manuals, regulations.
• Ability to establish/build relationships across levels.
• Able to stand/walk long hours, 8–12 hour shifts.
• Harvest-season intensive period (late Aug–Nov) with 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Support EHS compliance with corporate, plant and regulatory expectations.
• Identify, coordinate and implement safety and environmental improvement plans.
• Develop and deliver safety and environmental training, in person and online.
• Participate in safety committee meetings.
• Coach safe work practices with employees and supervisors.
• Perform Job Safety Analyses and PPE assessments; recommend improvements.
• Conduct facility EHS audits and competency testing.
• Oversee safety equipment maintenance (fall, respiratory protection, etc.).
• Develop weekly safety toolbox talks.
• Maintain and oversee the Shock Watch system.
• Collaborate with leaders on safety incidents.
