Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Safety & Compliance leader to oversee General Process, Food Safety and sanitation, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.

You will coordinate safety programs, lead a location Safety Committee, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires strong regulatory knowledge and hands-on safety management.

Qualifications

• Education – BA or BS degree strongly encouraged, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and CFRs; OSHA 10/30 preferred
• OSHA/GMP/HACCP familiarities are beneficial

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety policies and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Lead safety committee and communicate safety initiatives across the facility
• Monitor and report on safety metrics, incidents and corrective actions
• Oversee annual emergency evacuations and safety training
• Maintain documentation such as incident investigations and audits
• Collaborate with carriers, vendors and internal teams to improve safety outcomes
