Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Regional Environmental Health & Safety Manager who will travel between Independence, KY and Commercial Point, OH to oversee safety and sanitation programs across multiple facilities.

You will lead the implementation of GMP, HACCP and regulatory compliance, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. Strong communication, data analysis, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations and food safety principles.
• Experience leading safety programs in large warehouse or distribution settings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead general process, safety and sanitation programs.
• Conduct audits, trainings, and safety communications across facilities.
• Monitor and enforce GMP/HACCP standards and regulatory compliance.
• chairs Safety Committee and leads incident investigations and reporting.
• Manage emergency preparedness, evacuations, and regulatory inspections.
• Collaborate with carriers/vendors to ensure safe operations and compliance.
• Track KPIs such as incident rates and lost-time to drive safety improvements.
