Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions seeks an experienced EHS Manager to support Midwest manufacturing locations from our Oak Brook, IL HQ. You will drive environmental compliance and cultural transformation across sites, interfacing with regulators to ensure safety and regulatory adherence.

You will lead CAPAs, develop location-specific programs, and mentor teams in EHS best practices, with travel up to half the time. A strong technical and regulatory background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, and/or Safety Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in EHS with at least 5 years within a manufacturing or corporate setting or consulting.
• Technical experience in environmental permitting (Title V preferred), air/wastewater/HW/stormwater control, SPCC, machine guarding, and LOTO.
• Ability to identify and interpret regulations for facility personnel.
• Strong leadership, influencing and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with regulatory agencies.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• CHMM, PE, ASP, CSP, and/or CIH preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain facility environmental and safety compliance with regulatory programs.
• Ensure facilities' compliance with federal, state, and local environmental permit and safety regulations.
• Represent the company with regulatory agency representatives for RFIs and inquiries.
• Provide EHS leadership across multiple sites and build relationships with site management.
• Ensure consistency in EHS practices across facilities.
• Create location-specific programs and procedures aligned with corporate standards.
• Collaborate on process and facility improvements and track CAPAs.
• Interact with employees, consultants, and vendors to drive EHS initiatives and compliance.
• Identify and track accident and injury trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure effective EHS training and education programs.
