Job summary

Meta is seeking a seasoned Environmental Health and Safety Manager to lead EHS programs across our Washington facilities. You will oversee regulatory compliance, incident investigations, and continuous improvement while coordinating with lab and process managers and safety engineers.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, emergency planning, audits, and engagement of employees in safety initiatives. Expect up to 75% regional travel to Redmond, Seattle, and Bellevue as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in EHS, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience with regulatory requirements in Washington.
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site assessments, job and task risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts in lasers, hazardous chemicals, industrial hygiene, robotics, and occupational safety.
• Partner with Safety Engineering for handover of new equipment and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS laws, regulations, and permits.
• Develop and execute emergency response plans and serve as coordinator when needed.
• Drive continuous improvement through audits, data analysis, and incident investigations.
• Maintain risk and legal registers and communicate critical controls.
• Provide metrics and reporting to leadership for decision-making.
• Lead risk management including hazard identification, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Promote employee engagement and EHS initiatives through training.
