Job summary

McKee Foods Corporation, a family-owned snack cake maker behind Little Debbie, is seeking a District Sales Representative to grow DSD sales across the assigned territory.

You will build distributor relationships, support retailers, and drive sales growth with a daily vehicle routine and early start.

Candidates should have 2+ years in account management or sales leadership in food/grocery, with willingness to relocate within the district.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of account management or sales leadership experience in food & beverage or grocery.
• Territory includes Leesburg and surrounding areas; living within the district or willing to relocate.
• Ability to develop accounts and build rapport with new and existing clients and distributors.
• Basic proficiency with business software and willingness to learn new tools and systems (Google Workspace environment).

Responsibilities

• Build strong business relationships with each independent distributor in the district through sales assistance.
• Recruit and appoint quality candidates for distributorships.
• Offer quality orientation to new independent distributors.
• Act as liaison between McKee Foods and independent distributors.
• Develop good relationships with retailers in the district.
• Gain authorizations for products/product lines, space and promotions with retailers.
• Communicate with independent distributors on a regular basis.
• Encourage and assist independent distributors with developing business plans.
• Operate a company vehicle on a daily basis.
• Communicate job information to accomplish work tasks.
• Exercise personal safety on the job and demonstrate a commitment to the safety of others and our products.
