Job summary

Knight Transportation, the industry leader in truckload transportation, seeks a Driver Recruiter leader in Phoenix, AZ to drive staffing across fleets and ensure regulatory safety and compliance. You will set recruiting strategy, coach teams, and partner with terminal managers to meet growth goals.

This role requires 4+ years in transportation, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong communication, analytics, and people-management skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years transportation experience required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Maintain, evaluate, and utilize statistical information.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to manage and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Driver Recruiter process and develop plans and strategies to maintain a sufficient staff of Drivers across all fleets.
• Manage the driver recruiting process and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and DOT rules and regulations to maintain safety standards.
• Achieve regional growth/hiring goals set forth by Company leadership.
• Oversee coaching and counselling of recruiters to encourage development and performance improvement.
• Develop plans for achieving hiring goals and maintaining relationships with Terminal Managers and Business Unit leaders.
• Assist with driver recruiting website experience and job board alignment with department objectives.
• Structure training and direct data integrity of the Driver Recruiting staff to enhance skills.
• Direct Recruiting department for improved Driver retention to meet goals.
