Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Regional DOT/Fleet Manager to lead DOT/FMCSA compliance across the South Central region, partnering with Operations, Dispatch, Fleet Maintenance, EHS, HR, Legal, Risk, and the Corporate DOT & Fleet Compliance Team. This role emphasizes safety, policy implementation, and proactive risk management.

Travel is substantial (60–65%), and the position requires coordinating driver qualification, training, and audits to ensure regulatory readiness and operational

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of DOT/FMCSA compliance experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of FMCSA regulations (49 CFR Parts 382–396).
• Experience with Hours of Service (HOS), Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs), CSA/SMS, roadside inspections, and DOT compliance audits.
• Experience with telematics and fleet management systems.
• Experience with electronic DVIR platforms (e.g., Whip Around).
• Strong presentation and training skills with experience coaching drivers and operations leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary DOT and fleet compliance resource for assigned Regional Offices.
• Travel throughout the region (60–65%) conducting site visits and driver coaching.
• Monitor and improve compliance with FMCSA regulations, HOS, ELDs, roadside inspections, and CSA performance.
• Conduct DOT compliance audits and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with Driver Qualification (DQ) compliance and annual reviews.
• Deliver DOT compliance training for drivers, dispatchers, supervisors, and regional leadership.
