Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a senior leader to oversee Veterinary Professional Services (VPS) Operations across a assigned region. You will provide technical leadership, coordinate data-driven support for brands, and partner with academic institutions and industry stakeholders.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships, guiding cross-functional teams, and driving strategic initiatives to improve animal health and business performance while ensuring compliance and high standards.

Qualifications

• A veterinary degree (DVM or VMD) is required.
• An additional degree or board certification is preferred but not required.
• Minimum 12 years in the Animal Health Sector with 8+ years in commercial roles.
• Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in at least one US state.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the VPS team to meet sales and technical goals.
• Influence the Veterinary Industry's mission and the care and wellbeing of animals.
• Ensure staffing with qualified personnel; manage salary programs; coach and review performance.
• Develop customer networks and relationships to support business growth.
• Represent VPS in cross-functional forums to align field insights with programs.
• Lead VPS initiatives across regions to drive growth and customer value.
