Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Regional Director, Veterinary Professional Services for the West Region. You will lead VPS operations, coordinate technical and business support, and drive strategic insights to optimize brand performance and veterinary engagement.

You will build relationships with academics, specialty practices, and key opinion leaders, ensuring field teams are equipped to meet objectives while advancing Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health's mission and growth in the region.

Qualifications

• Must possess a veterinary degree (DVM or VMD).
• Minimum 12 years in the Animal Health Sector, with at least 8 years across multiple commercial roles.
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in at least one US state.
• Willing to travel; overnight travel required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook and database applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to Veterinary Professional Services team members to ensure business goals are met.
• Establish annual objectives aligned with sales and technical marketing goals.
• Align PSV team with strategic accounts using appropriate support tools.
• Shape and influence the veterinary industry’s overall mission and impact on animal health.
• Staffing: recruit, select, coach, and evaluate personnel; manage salary and reward programs.
• Develop internal and external networks to support business growth and customer engagement.
