Job description

Regional Director of Clinical Services (RDCS)

Job Type: Full-Time | Regional Leadership

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven Regional Director of Clinical Services (RDCS) to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for 12 skilled nursing facilities throughout Florida, primarily in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area, with one location in Fort Walton Beach.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an entrepreneurial nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong clinical teams, and has a proven ability to improve quality outcomes, strengthen regulatory compliance, and develop nursing leadership.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic leader who is comfortable navigating change, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing sustainable clinical systems.

We are looking for a builder, not simply a maintainer. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regional clinical oversight and leadership for 12 skilled nursing facilities.
  • Assess current clinical operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective action plans.
  • Mentor, develop, and support Directors of Nursing (DONs) and facility nursing leadership teams.
  • Partner with facility administrators and regional leadership to improve clinical performance and operational efficiency.
  • Drive improvements in quality measures, CMS star ratings, and resident outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
  • Oversee survey readiness, regulatory compliance, and plans of correction.
  • Strengthen clinical documentation, reimbursement practices, and care delivery processes.
  • Support recruitment, evaluation, and retention of high-performing nursing leaders.
  • Establish accountability and consistent clinical standards across multiple facilities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support organizational growth and operational transitions.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Florida licensure or eligibility required.
  • Extensive clinical leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
  • Strong understanding of CMS regulations, survey processes, quality measures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated success improving clinical performance and developing nursing leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned Florida region.
Strongly Preferred:
  • Previous experience as a Regional Director of Clinical Services, Regional Nurse Consultant, Regional Clinical Director, or similar multi-facility nursing leadership role.
  • Experience supporting multiple skilled nursing facilities.
  • Proven success improving underperforming facilities and building effective clinical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of skilled nursing reimbursement, documentation, and high-acuity resident care.
  • Experience supporting facility acquisitions, operational transitions, or clinical turnaround initiatives.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Potential additional long-term incentives.
  • Compensation flexibility for exceptionally qualified candidates.
  • Relocation considerations for the right candidate.
  • Opportunity to work directly with executive leadership.
  • Significant autonomy and the ability to influence clinical strategy.
  • Opportunity for long-term professional growth within an expanding organization.
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is more than a traditional regional clinical oversight position.

You will have the opportunity to help shape the clinical direction of a growing skilled nursing organization, strengthen nursing leadership teams, and establish systems that drive meaningful improvements in resident care and facility performance.

We are seeking someone who enjoys challenges, embraces change, and takes pride in building successful teams and sustainable clinical operations.
