Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Developmental Services, seeks a Director of Northeast Residential Services to lead 77 residential homes serving ~340 individuals with complex needs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in public health, human services, business management, or related field; at least five years of administrative or managerial experience, preferably in developmental disabilities or residential services.
• Substitutions: Bachelor's for two years, graduate for three years, doctorate for four years of experience.
• Experience designing and implementing residential service delivery programs, including clinical support models and operational systems.
• Ability to establish staffing levels and schedules within fiscal constraints and to make data-driven funding decisions.

Responsibilities

• Determine policy governing planning, development, and evaluation of state-operated residential services in the Northeast Region.
• Direct regional directors and senior management; set accountability frameworks and ensure program performance.
• Oversee budget development, expenditures, and fiscal sustainability for Northeast Residential Services.
• Lead development of emergency stabilization residential services; define staffing, clinical, and operational structures.
• Supervise Health Core Coordinator and oversee clinical standards; coordinate with Area Offices and external partners.
