Job summary

Gentiva Health Services, Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Area Director of Business Development to lead sales strategy and manage a team of business development professionals across a defined hospice territory.

You will drive census growth, optimize sales performance, and develop new business opportunities in alignment with organizational goals, reporting to the Area VP of Business Development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years direct healthcare sales experience (Hospice, Home Health, DME, or post-acute).
• 1+ year healthcare sales leadership experience required.
• Proven ability to exceed quotas and build referral partnerships.
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Prior experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of business development reps including hiring and coaching.
• Develop territory sales strategies to meet census growth and admission targets.
• Identify and cultivate referral sources through community and physician outreach.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to improve strategy.
• Provide field coaching, joint calls, and professional development.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive teams for onboarding.
• Represent the company at events to promote referrals.
• Monitor compliance with sales methodologies and regulatory requirements.
