Job summary

Gentiva Health Services, Inc. is seeking an Area Director of Business Development to drive census growth and lead a regional team of business development professionals in hospice care.

This leader will develop territory-specific strategies, build and manage referral partnerships, and coordinate with clinical and operations teams to ensure seamless patient onboarding. You will analyze market trends, coach teams, and represent the company at community events to expand brand presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of direct sales experience in healthcare services; 1+ years in sales leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of business development representatives, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
• Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies to meet census growth and admission targets.
• Identify and cultivate referral sources through community engagement, physician relationships, facility partnerships, and outreach.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to improve effectiveness and strategy.
• Provide field coaching, joint sales calls, and ongoing professional development to the team.
• Maintain relationships with referral partners and pursue new market opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive teams for smooth onboarding of patients.
• Represent Gentiva at events, conferences, and partner meetings to promote brand and referrals.
