Regional Director, Health & Community Programs – NYC

Job description

The client is seeking a Director to lead and manage all aspects of its programs and services in the Greater New York Region, including operations, volunteer recruitment and management, community outreach, and program development. The Director will work collaboratively with people from all backgrounds and should demonstrate a deep understanding and respect for diversity within the Jewish community. The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and National Director of Client Services.

Key responsibilities include overseeing Case Management and Community Based Services departments, developing and implementing strategies to expand regional programs, and building relationships with hospitals, medical professionals, and other community organizations. The Director will coordinate effectively with the national office to ensure communication and alignment, manage the regional budget to support financial sustainability, and—together with Development professionals—build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.

This is a full-time, in-office position requiring occasional evening and weekend work and travel within the New York Region. The client is seeking a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit senior management or program development in a health care or social service community-based environment. Strong leadership, administrative, and management skills are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to build and sustain relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, strong organizational and project management skills, and demonstrated problem-solving capacity in stressful circumstances.
