Job summary

Buckner is seeking a Regional Director of Foster Care & Adoption to oversee and lead Buckner Children & Family Services’ Domestic Foster Care and Adoption programs in Lubbock, TX. The role focuses on operations, compliance, staffing, and budget management, with responsibility for developing strategies and ensuring alignment with Buckner’s mission.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in social work (Master’s preferred), 5+ years in domestic foster care/adoption, and licensing credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in social work or similar field.
• Master’s Degree in Social Services preferred.
• Minimum 5 years prior related experience in the professional delivery of domestic foster care/adoption services required.
• Must hold and maintain a Texas Child Placing Administrator’s license.
• Requires knowledge of legalities involved with medical/clinical intervention.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of assigned Foster Care and Adoption locations.
• Develop and manage staff and professional resources.
• Prepare annual budgets for assigned locations.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing standards and Buckner policies.
• Lead training and development for foster/adoptive parents.
