Job summary

Buckner is seeking a Foster Care Home Developer for the Foster Care and Adoption Program in Dallas. The role coordinates recruitment of foster families, develops foster homes, and ensures licensing compliance while supporting ongoing relationships with families and the community.

The Home Developer will lead trainings, provide case coordination, and collaborate with TDFPS and field staff to meet regional foster care needs and promote Buckner Foster Care services to the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
• Extensive knowledge of modern methods for specialized training programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement recruitment of foster parents for the Foster Care program.
• Recruit and develop foster homes and participate in community education about resource needs.
• Complete licensing, assessment, and support processes to meet Licensing Standards.
• Maintain supportive relationships with foster care resources and coordinate training needs.
• Assist foster parents with transportation for visits and appointments.
• Assist foster parents with age-appropriate activities and therapies.
• Consult with TDFPS staff on foster family resource selection and support services.
• Conduct investigations relative to complaints and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in regional needs assessments for foster/adoptive care.
