Shelter House is seeking a Director to lead Artemis House Region 1, the emergency shelter for individuals fleeing domestic and sexual violence. You will oversee day-to-day operations, service delivery, program development, and cross‑region collaboration to ensure consistent outcomes.

You will guide staff, manage budgets, and work with partners and the community to advance trauma-informed care and safety for program participants.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services / related field or commensurate experience.
• 3+ years of program and staff management.
• Experience managing budgets and funding sources.
• Strong public speaking and communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing priorities and make sound judgments.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed.
• Preferred: experience serving homeless families and/or victims of domestic violence / sexual violence.
• Preferred: experience leading / managing in a residential environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for all components of service delivery for Artemis House Region 1.
• Collaborate with region peers to ensure consistent programming and coordination with DVSH and other programs.
• Coach and develop staff through regular one-on-one meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Coordinate facility maintenance, manage contractors, and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Oversee budgeting, approve staff timesheets, and monitor funding sources.
• Foster a curious, learning-oriented team culture with regular staff meetings.
• Oversee program evaluation, needs assessments, client satisfaction, and grant-required surveys.
• Collaborate with partners to meet in-kind needs and ensure data accuracy for reporting and contracts.
