Job summary

Shelter House is seeking a Residential Coordinator for Artemis House Region 1 to provide 24-hour awake coverage and supervision of the domestic violence shelter. The role serves as the first point of contact for client needs, performing crisis interventions and coordinating with case managers to support service plans.

Responsibilities include maintaining safe shelter operations, documenting interactions, and ensuring confidentiality and safety during shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in human services
• Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and team members
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour awake coverage and supervision of the shelter
• Act as first point of contact for client needs and support
• Crisis intervention, safety planning, and documentation in logs
• Support case managers and accompany clients to court and appointments
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and best practices
• Maintain confidentiality and dignity of clients
• Report to work as scheduled regardless of circumstances
