Job summary

Macdonald & Company is partnering with an established real estate investment and development firm to lead regional expansion of affordable and mixed-income housing across the Southeast. The senior leader will originate opportunities, manage the full project lifecycle and collaborate with public agencies, brokers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of real estate development experience, including affordable housing.
• Experience leading affordable housing or mixed-income developments from site control to completion.
• Extensive knowledge of LIHTC, tax-exempt financing and public funding programs.
• Strong experience working with housing authorities, municipalities and public agencies.
• Proven ability to originate opportunities through broker relationships and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead developments from pursuit through due diligence, entitlement, financing, construction and stabilization.
• Oversee site selection, feasibility analysis, consultant coordination and development strategy.
• Manage architects, engineers, attorneys, contractors and partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor schedules, budgets and execution to ensure on-time delivery and mitigation of risks.
• Originate opportunities through broker networks, partnerships and public-sector relationships.
• Structure complex affordable housing capital stacks and prepare financial analyses for investments.
• Present development opportunities to senior leadership and monitor financial performance.
• Lead regional development activities across the Southeast and mentor junior staff.
