Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is hiring an Associate Director of Dining Specialist to travel within a designated region to support dining operations across communities. This is a 100% travel role with a 10 day on 4 day off schedule, primarily in the Northeast with travel across the region as needed.

The position requires strong dining services leadership, ServSafe certification, and a bachelor’s degree. Competitive benefits apply for full‑time roles and on‑site duties vary by community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred; a minimum of five years dining services experience with two or more years of supervisory experience in senior housing hospitality required.
• Must obtain/hold local, state and/or county food handling licenses and/or certificates. ServSafe Certified required. Registered dietitian or Certified Dietary Manager preferred. Must have a valid driver license and access to a private vehicle for business use.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills; ability to manage staff, labor and dining services within a division.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, directing, training and coordinating activities of the food service departments within the assigned division.
• Provide input to Corporate Office regarding national food service programs.
• Support start-up of new dining services departments and menu system reviews.
• Train dining staff and present trainings; develop and revise dining forms, policies and training tools.
• Lead regular meetings with dining service managers to discuss policies and training.
• Monitor monthly food expense reports and help keep food costs within budget.
• Support rollout of national, regional and local vendor programs and measure results.
• Participate in product reviews, vendor evaluations with purchasing teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university preferred.
