Job summary

Honda is seeking an electrical engineering professional to join the Genpo MESD leadership team. You will identify downtime issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive countermeasures to improve reliability across North American operations.

Responsibilities include supporting standardized regional production systems, analyzing Genpo targets, and preparing performance reports for senior management. Strong communication and project leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (Manufacturing emphasis a plus) or equivalent experience.
• 2-8 years of electrical engineering experience in manufacturing (Automotive focus a plus)
• Understanding of automated equipment electrical hardware/software design and machine safety controls.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills for customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify chronic downtime root causes and recommend countermeasures.
• Analyze manufacturing characteristics and compare to Genpo targets; coordinate with D-Leadership.
• Document ERS meeting results for Senior Management to drive Genpo improvements.
• Support standardized regional production systems and countermeasure activity.
• Prepare quarterly and monthly reports and execute PDCA.
• Conduct KPI gap analyses and develop countermeasures; support new technology introductions.
