Job summary

The YMCA of Southeastern NC is seeking a Diabetes Prevention Program Coordinator to lead the grant-funded DPP across the region, overseeing daily operations, facilitating evidence-based lifestyle change sessions, and ensuring program quality and participant success.

You will supervise Lifestyle Coaches, manage outreach, enrollment, class scheduling, and data reporting, and travel regularly to YMCA locations and partner sites throughout southeastern North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience preferred.
• Experience in health education, behavior change, wellness, or community programming.
• Ability to coordinate multiple classes and locations regionally.
• Experience supervising staff or volunteers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional delivery and day-to-day operations of the DPP.
• Facilitate participant-centered lifestyle change sessions in person and virtually.
• Recruit, enroll, orient, and retain eligible participants with follow-up support.
• Coordinate regional class schedules, locations, and communications.
• Supervise and train lifestyle coaches; ensure program quality.
• Build relationships with healthcare providers and community partners.
• Maintain confidential participant records and program outcomes.
• Monitor enrollment, attendance, and progress; use data to improve results.
• Prepare program and grant reports in partnership with leadership.
• Manage program supplies and assist with budget monitoring.
• Represent the YMCA at regional meetings and outreach events.
• Complete required DPP and safety trainings and maintain credentials.
• Follow YMCA policies; protect participant confidentiality.
