Job summary

Childrens Home Society of Florida is seeking a Managing Director of Area Development to lead fundraising and community development efforts in Florida. This hybrid role focuses on expanding CHS’s mission through strategic donor engagement and partnership building.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of 60+ donors, drive events and planned giving, and collaborate with senior leadership to achieve revenue targets while promoting CHS’s behavioral health and family support services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business Admin, Marketing, PR, Sales or related field.
• Five+ years of professional fundraising experience across multiple channels.
• Experience developing and managing fundraising initiatives, special events and donor relationships.
• Experience with fundraising software and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the local Community Development Team to drive fundraising strategy and growth for CHS.
• Own a personal donor portfolio of 60+ donors and secure annual revenue targets.
• Oversee fundraising events, planned giving, and CRM-driven donor engagement.
• Collaborate with the Senior VP of Development to set strategy and objectives.
• Support regional board recruitment and engagement with CHS executives and board members.
• Coordinate with Finance and Data teams on donations, budgeting, and ROI metrics.
• Work with the VP of Special Events on events and revenue growth strategies.
