Job summary

Teach For America seeks a Director, Development to lead statewide fundraising efforts in North Carolina. You will manage a donor portfolio, collaborate with senior leaders, and drive campaigns across public and private funding to meet revenue goals.

Reporting to the Senior Managing Director, Head of Statewide Development, you will build strategic donor engagement, stewardship processes, and pipeline management while strengthening regional ties with local communities.

Qualifications

• Relationship building and management across donor networks
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse constituents
• Ability to influence and collaborate across teams to advance donor stewardship
• Solid foundation in best practices of development and fundraising
• Experience supporting fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives across varied donor audiences
• Monitor activity to support pipeline movement and fundraising effectiveness

Responsibilities

• Campaign Management & Execution across statewide fundraising initiatives.
• Stewardship & Donor Experience: develop and implement donor stewardship strategies.
• Portfolio Management: manage donor gifts and grow giving levels and pipeline.
• Development Operations & CRM Management: maintain donor/prospect activity in CRM and drive progress.
• Support alumni fundraising and other statewide initiatives.
• Steward team initiatives and organizational projects.
