Job summary

Foundation Fighting Blindness is seeking a Regional Development Assistant to support operations, donor engagement, and program logistics remotely from the Chicago or Minneapolis metro area. The role partners with the Central Regional Development team to coordinate events, maintain donor data, and prepare briefing materials.

The position emphasizes nonprofit fundraising experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in administrative, operations, or nonprofit support.
• Fundraising or community engagement nonprofit experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills with deadlines.
• Experience coordinating meetings, events, webinars, or activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; customer service focus.
• Experience with CRM/database systems; familiarity with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Blackbaud CRM preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to research, compile, and prepare reports and briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support for the region and leaders.
• Support virtual meetings and national webinars; manage logistics.
• Research and verify information; provide reporting and analysis.
• Coordinate chapter activities and symposia; assist in vendor contracts.
• Maintain donor and constituent data; ensure data hygiene.
• Prepare invitations, presentations, and briefing materials.
