Job summary

Foundation Fighting Blindness is seeking a fundraising Development Manager to lead revenue and community engagement across Dallas/Fort Worth and Austin. You will cultivate relationships with donors, volunteers, businesses, and partners, and drive events that grow revenue while sharing scientific progress.

You will collaborate with internal teams, manage volunteer leaders, and ensure effective use of donor data to inform strategy.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in fundraising or related nonprofit role.
• Track record of meeting or growing revenue goals through various funding streams.
• Strong relationship-builder with volunteers, donors, and community partners.
• Experience recruiting and supporting volunteer leaders and committees.
• Comfortable representing the Foundation publicly in communities.
• Excellent organizational skills across multiple priorities and events.
• Experience with donor databases/CRM to track engagement and run reports.
• Clear, compassionate communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently yet collaborate with internal teams remotely.
• Willingness to learn scientific information to support education and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute fundraising strategies to grow revenue year over year.
• Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, donors, local businesses, sponsors, and partners.
• Plan and run successful fundraising events and activities.
• Set priorities and measures of success with volunteer committees and the Regional Director.
• Recruit, support, and motivate volunteer leaders over time.
• Represent the Foundation in the community—sharing resources and scientific progress.
• Use donor database to track engagement, inform fundraising decisions, and run reports.
• Tailor approaches to each community's strengths and needs.
• Manage materials and resources to support events and local engagement.
• Explain the Foundation’s work in accessible, meaningful terms to families.
