Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Regional Design Manager to join its design team. You will lead multi-disciplinary design efforts for data center facilities across the Americas, influencing stakeholders and external consultants to deliver high-quality, cost-conscious designs.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering for mission critical facilities and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Travel up to 25% and collaboration with global teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, oil/gas).
• Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution.
• Experience in project management or management consulting handling multiple ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of discipline leads to deliver quality data center designs across Americas within schedule and cost constraints.
• Influence internal stakeholders and external consultants to address design changes.
• Manage escalations and collaborate with procurement, construction and external consultants.
• Communicate with AWS leadership and partners; track and report metrics on schedule, cost and quality.
• Drive innovation to reduce rework and standardize processes across the business.
