Job summary

State of Michigan’s Dairy, Food and Rural Development Department seeks a Dairy Regional Supervisor to lead field inspectors and professionals in the Dairy Program. The role focuses on supervision, staff development, and ensuring compliance with dairy laws and licensing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 credits in biology/chemistry.
• Five years of professional food and dairy industry experience, including supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of field inspectors and staff.
• Policy development, training, and quality assurance.
• Manage licensing activities related to dairy laws and products.
• Coordinate with state, local, federal agencies and external partners.
• Travel to office and field sites; handle urgent investigations and enforcement.
