Job summary

Proficio, an award-winning MDR provider, is seeking a Senior Security Consultant to prospect, develop, and close new business for the Mid-Atlantic region. You will work directly and through channel partners, acting as a regional sales manager based in the DC Metro area, relying on sales engineering and BD teams to align Proficio's offerings with client needs.

The role requires 50% travel within territory and a proven track record in cybersecurity sales, with a consultative, customer-first

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in direct sales in the cybersecurity industry.
• MSSP experience highly preferred.
• Ability to negotiate with C-level executives (CISO, CIO, IT).
• Technical acumen to discuss security, networking, and software/hardware solutions.
• Proven track record of exceeding quotas and adding new logos.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a sales strategy focused on prospecting, developing, and closing new business accounts within assigned territory.
• Create account target list with penetration plans for each prospective entity
• Be a hunter, utilize and maintain a professional network to generate new business opportunities
• Develop and manage a pipeline; regularly update sales forecasts and reports using Salesforce
• Achieve sales quota goals and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual sales numbers
• Deliver web-based and in-person presentations, showcasing Proficio’s capabilities and best practices
• Map Proficio’s solutions to meet client needs with a consultative approach
• Plan and execute sales events to showcase new services and educate partners and clients
• Maintain a pipeline and meet with C-level executives in meetings or webinars
