Busey Bank seeks a Regional Credit Officer to oversee commercial underwriting, portfolio management, and risk controls across designated markets. You will lead Commercial Credit Officers, Underwriters, and Analysts to ensure sound borrower relationships and compliant decisions.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, collaboration with Relationship Managers, and rigorous financial analysis of mid- to large-market borrowers. Join a team focused on prudent growth and strong risk governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance.
• 10+ years of Commercial Credit experience with prior single signature approval authority.
• 5+ years in progressive management/leadership role.
• 5+ years of middle market loan relationships ($10–$100M).
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Commercial Credit Officers, Underwriters, and Analysts.
• Ensure timely underwriting through team communication and leadership.
• Assess credit risk using cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and leverage.
• Review loan grades to ensure policy alignment.
• Assist with portfolio management and covenant monitoring.
• Prepare and review opportunity memos for new and existing relationships.
• Maintain knowledge of loan policy, playbook, and lending tech platform.
• Support Relationship Managers on calls and during sales efforts.
• Approve loans within authority and recommend higher approvals.
