American Medical Administrators MGMT Company is seeking a Regional CPI Instructor to deliver crisis prevention and de-escalation training across SNF facilities. You will teach verbal de-escalation, safe intervention techniques, and trauma-informed care while ensuring resident dignity and safety.

The role requires hands-on training, ongoing competency evaluations, and coordination with nursing and clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience, preferably in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Strong understanding of crisis prevention and verbal de-escalation techniques.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct hands-on training and evaluate staff competency.
• Maintain accurate training documentation.
• Willingness to travel between facilities within the region.
• Must obtain CPI Instructor certification within 30 days of starting date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CPI training and certification for nursing, clinical, and facility staff.
• Provide initial and refresher CPI training as required.
• Teach crisis prevention, de-escalation, communication, and safe intervention techniques.
• Demonstrate appropriate responses to aggressive resident behaviors.
• Promote least-restrictive, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches.
• Maintain training records and competency assessments.
• Coordinate with leadership to identify training needs and provide coaching.
