Job summary

American Medical Administrators LTC seeks a Regional CPI Instructor to deliver CPI training across SNFs, ensuring staff competency in crisis prevention, de-escalation, and safe intervention. You will promote trauma-informed, person-centered care and maintain training records across facilities.

The role requires healthcare experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel regionally to provide hands-on coaching and refresher sessions within established policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience in skilled nursing or related healthcare setting.
• Strong crisis prevention and verbal de-escalation knowledge.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to evaluate staff competency through hands-on training.
• Maintain accurate training documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct CPI training and certification for nursing, clinical, and facility staff.
• Provide initial and refresher CPI training per organizational requirements.
• Teach crisis prevention, de-escalation, communication, and safe intervention techniques.
• Demonstrate appropriate responses to challenging resident behaviors.
• Promote least-restrictive, trauma-informed, person-centered care.
• Record and maintain CPI training, certification, and competency data.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and follow-up coaching.
• Ensure training aligns with facility policies and applicable regulations.
• Support safety, dignity, and respect for residents and staff.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

CPI Instructor certification within 30 days

Current CPI Instructor certification

2+ years training healthcare professionals
