Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a Regional Coordinator - School Improvement to lead turnaround efforts across identified campuses, with emphasis on student outcomes and ESF-aligned practices.

As part of Academic Systems Improvement Services, you will build district leadership capacity, deliver targeted coaching and professional learning, and collaborate with state and school teams to sustain rapid improvement in instructional quality.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Texas Educator Certificate and Mid-Management/Principal Certificate required.
  • Three years of campus admin experience with a track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Two years of district-level leadership experience.
  • Five years of teaching experience in a traditional district/charter school.
  • Experience in developing and presenting professional development.
  • Demonstrated success in leading major district/campus improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of effective campus practices in instructional leadership, staff and student culture, and data‑driven instruction.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience coaching teachers and campus/district leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and synthesize data to develop strategic recommendations and differentiated support plans.
  • Build leadership capacity of District Coordinators of School Improvement and campus leaders in turnaround strategies.
  • Guide leadership teams with ESF diagnostics and best practices.
  • Communicate progress and recommendations to stakeholders to sustain improvement.
  • Deliver targeted coaching, modeling, and professional learning for leadership teams.
  • Collaborate to plan and implement differentiated support to advance student outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain area expertise.
  • Participate in state‑level functions related to the role.

Job Goal: Support identified campuses in School Improvement (SI) through turnaround efforts to quickly increase student outcomes and the ESC’s core purpose and strategic goals.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree

Certification:

  • Texas Educator Certificate
  • Mid-Management/Principal Certificate

Experience:

  • Three years of experience in campus administration (Principal or Assistant Principal) with a track record of improving student outcomes
  • Two years of district-level leadership experience

Major Responsibilities
  • Analyze and synthesize multiple sources of quantitative and qualitative data to develop strategic recommendations and differentiated support plans that accelerate student outcomes.
  • Build the leadership capacity of District Coordinators of School Improvement (DCSI), principal managers, principals, and campus leadership teams in the development, implementation, and monitoring of targeted, turnaround, and/or local campus plans.
  • Guide district and campus leadership teams in connecting them with capacity builders based on need as a result of the Effective Schools Framework (ESF) diagnostics and/or school improvement best practices.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders while aligning support efforts to sustain continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver targeted coaching, modeling, professional learning, and technical assistance to district and campus leadership teams to strengthen leadership capacity and accelerate and sustain student performance.
  • Collaborate with team members strategically plan and implement differentiated support that support advance student outcomes.
  • Engage in frequent professional development to maintain knowledge and skills in area(s) of responsibility.
