Job summary

Waste Pro USA, Inc. seeks an experienced Regional Controller to provide financial leadership across multiple divisions in Georgia and North Carolina.

This leader partners with regional and corporate leadership to drive profitability, support acquisitions, and influence strategic decisions within the waste and recycling industry. The role emphasizes operational finance, profitability analysis, and capital planning, with responsibility for regional accounting activities, reporting, and internal

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
10+ years of progressive accounting/financial leadership experience.
3+ years as Controller or Regional Controller in waste/recycling/environmental services.
Strong US GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
Proven ability to partner with operations and executive leadership.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills.
Ability to lead multi-location teams and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements and management reporting.
Analyze profitability, fleet costs, disposal costs and key metrics across divisions.
Partner with operations to improve margins and EBITDA; support pricing and contracts.
Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets; provide forecasts.
Oversee GL, AR, AP, payroll, fixed assets and financial reporting for the region.
Ensure GAAP compliance, controls, and regulatory reporting.
