Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an experienced finance professional to ensure robust financial procedures and accuracy across accounting functions. The role focuses on maintaining regional ledgers, preparing complex studies, and supervising diverse accounting activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 7–10+ years in hazardous waste industry or related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate income statements by profit center within a five-day monthly close cycle and other supporting financial reports.
• Ensure accuracy of financial reports from review through completion, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Conduct monthly management reviews and ensure presentation materials are accurate and complete.
• Review and approve expense reports, capital purchases, and other financial requests to reflect costs.
• Advise staff and management on financial decisions for capital expenditure changes affecting facilities.
• Present monthly/quarterly revenue data vs targets at staff meetings to monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance of accounting computations with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Provide strategic financial focus for regions to align with Veolia policies.
