We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Controller to join our Electronics Business Unit (EBU). This pivotal role will report directly to the Vice President of Finance in EBU and will lead segment Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls compliance, technical accounting, and support mergers and acquisition (M&A) activities. The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, agility, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in finance, accounting, and controls compliance.

About the Job:

Risk Management and Controls:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Oversee the risk assessment process, including the evaluation of market, credit, operations, and liquidity risks.
  • Collaborate with various departments around the globe to ensure controls are designed and operating effectively.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including the company’s external auditors.
  • Develop a methodology to identify plant locations, processes, and financial statement balances that are inherently risky and assist in preparation and monitoring of mitigation practices.
  • Prepare and present risk management reports to senior leadership.

Technical Accounting:

  • Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the preparation and review of segment level monthly and quarterly financial results.
  • Review balance sheet fluctuation analysis performed by site level controllers to verify adequate assessments and develop trend analytics to assess financial performance and identify balances that may not appear reasonable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide technical accounting expertise.
  • Advise site level controllers around the globe with accounting matters.
  • Work with business on due diligence and assist in M&A integration.
About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA)
  • 10+ years of finance experience
  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
  • Big 4 public accounting experience
  • Corporate or Business Unit controllership experience
  • Experience with a multinational US publicly traded company
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Solid business judgment, and demonstrated ability to influence the organization driving right results
  • Proven ability to operate independently
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of time
