Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to deliver world‑class support from tendering to project completion. Based in Cary, NC, you will balance customer focus with risk control, shaping regional growth and influencing global practices.

You will lead negotiations, draft agreements, and train teams in effective contract management. The role requires 5+ years in commercial contracts, English fluency (French a plus), and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial or transactional contract negotiation experience.
• Experience in the Nam Region with understanding of contractual terms & conditions.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Ability to influence and persuade in negotiations.
• Knowledge of legal terminology used in commercial contracts.
• Strong verbal and written communication; presentations to customers and Veolia team.

Responsibilities

• Provide negotiations preparation and support to Sales, Proposal teams, Project Managers and Service leaders.
• Review, negotiate and approve NDAs to support proposals.
• Assess risk in commercial contracts and develop mitigation strategies for negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with internal workflows and approvals.
• Lead complex contract negotiations for disputes and change orders.
• Develop risk management processes with leadership.
• Provide project summaries and guide teams through high‑risk deals.
• Consult with Legal Team to support negotiations and dispute resolution.
• Teach contracts management skills through training sessions.
• Travel approximately 20%, with some international travel.
