Job summary

Southern California construction firm seeks a Regional Safety Manager to lead field safety across Orange County K-12 and higher education projects. You will drive a proactive safety culture with Cal/OSHA and Federal OSHA compliance, coach field teams, conduct audits and incidents investigations, and ensure safe project execution in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong safety experience, OSHA certifications, excellent reporting, and travel across Southern California.

Qualifications

5+ years of safety experience in construction.
Experience supporting general contracting or construction management projects.
Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA and Federal OSHA requirements.
Experience developing and monitoring safety policies and site safety plans.
Proven ability to conduct field safety inspections and root cause analyses.
Strong reporting skills documenting incidents, inspections, and actions.
Excellent communication to coach and influence field teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects across Orange County with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Serve as a visible safety leader across Orange County construction projects.
Champion a people-first safety culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
Partner with project teams, superintendents, and site safety professionals.
Coach leadership on safety conversations, observations, and pre-task planning.
Develop and monitor safety policies aligned with OSHA standards.
Create and execute site-specific safety plans and JHAs.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and site walks; document findings.
