Job summary

CSI Construction in Irvine, CA seeks a Compliance Officer/Safety Manager to oversee safety across active projects. You will conduct regular site visits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance and a safe workplace.

You will lead safety training, support OSHA inspections, and coordinate with subcontractors, project teams, and clients. The role requires 5+ years in construction safety and OSHA 510 certification; Cal-OSHA expertise is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of full-time construction safety experience.
• OSHA 510 completed, with desire to obtain OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer qualification.
• Advanced safety certifications preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Experience visiting multiple projects in a territory and managing time.
• Experience with accident investigations and OSHA inspections and documentation.
• Understanding of construction sequencing for multi-family and commercial projects.
• Public speaking and/or training experience with varying group sizes.

Responsibilities

• Plan work to ensure regular site visits on all active projects within the territory.
• Manage the Southern California territory and support CSI Construction personnel and projects.
• Conduct safety inspections and coordinate with project teams and subcontractors.
• Provide safety training on construction sites and in classrooms.
• Participate in safety meetings and be a resource for safety concerns.
• Support OSHA inspections and document findings from investigations.
• Order and deliver signage, PPE, First Aid kits, etc., to projects.
• Educate site personnel on safety standards and best practices.
• Assist with safety program development and Cal-OSHA permits.
• Enter inspection reports into database and share with clients.
