Job summary

Austin Industrial, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee construction programs across the Midwest.

You will lead contract administration, coordinate resources, manage budgets, scheduling, and safety, and guide subcontractors and vendors to meet performance goals. The role requires a four-year technical degree, PMP certification (or plan within 1 year), strong cost control and project coordination skills, and the ability to read drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Four year Undergraduate Degree in technical discipline.
• PMP certified or able to achieve certification within 1 year.
• Demonstrated collegiate-level computer skills, mathematics, communication skills, and technical writing.
• Understanding of engineering or construction principles.
• Read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Ability to forecast cost for self-performed work and to determine labor and equipment resources.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances and building codes.
• Management competency in Lump Sum, Unit Price, Time & Material projects.
• Contribute to project pursuit efforts and effectively present to groups.

Responsibilities

• Read the prime contract and ensure reporting obligations and deliverables are identified and complied with.
• Holds customers, subcontractors, and vendors accountable to the performance of the agreements.
• Develops a plan to ensure proper allocation of materials and resources.
• Lead progress, planning, and safety meetings.
• Mobilization activities on the project with the superintendent and site logistics.
• Review submittals for coordination and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Prepare and submit customer pay requests and change pricing proposals.
• Provide preconstruction services to assist customers in project evaluation and development.
