Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Regional Controller for the Midwest, based in Bloomington with move to Edina. You will lead the regional accounting team, oversee month-end close, reporting, and budget processes, and partner with Operations to drive profitable project execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 8+ years of accounting/finance experience (construction preferred), strong Excel and ERP skills, and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field and 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including construction/general contracting context.
• Experience owning WIP, job cost, cost-to-complete/forecasting, and working capital disciplines.
• CPA preferred and strong financial acumen with analyses for decision support.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional accounting and financial operations ensuring compliance with policies and controls.
• Drive timely month-end close, balance sheet governance, reconciliations and management reporting.
• Coordinate with shared services and Operations to optimize working capital and profitability.
