Korn Ferry has partnered with our client to recruit a Regional Accounting Controller responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting for construction-related operations.

The role focuses on timely, accurate reporting to corporate and external bodies. The incumbent will coordinate with distribution centers, division management, and the corporate office to ensure control and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required and CPA is required.
• Minimum 10+ years in accounting/finance; public accounting experience is a plus.
• Construction industry experience is required (directly in construction business or with construction clients).

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for a role, Regional Accounting Controller.

Position Summary:

The Regional Accounting Controller is responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end closing, forecasting and budgeting. The Regional Accounting Controller is responsible for meeting corporate and external reporting requirements.

The Regional Accounting Controller will ensure accuracy and timeliness of project and report completion, in all areas of responsibility. Communicate clearly and promptly with distribution centers, Division management team and corporate office to insure control & compliance with company policies and procedures.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Effectively completing the month-end financial close process.
• Perform operational analysis as requested, as well as assignment of special projects.
• Timely and accurate completion of month end journal entries, balance sheet and P&L.
• Compose a monthly forecast and participate in annual budget
• The Regional Controller is responsible for knowing and following policies and procedures of the company; for sharing information that would benefit other members of the team; and for finding ways to improve the productivity and profitability of our division.
• Under the direction of the Chief Accounting Officer is responsible for ensuring payroll and functions related to hourly and salaried personnel are adhered to.

Decision Making:

The Regional Accounting Controller must be able to recognize and respond to situations that require a sense of urgency or are the result of non-compliance with corporate policy(s). This person should have the ability to assess various situations and environments objectively. The Regional Controller must always understand the importance of acting ethically and appropriately in many business situations.

Requirements:

• Education: B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance and active CPA.
• Work Experience: 10+ years in an accounting or finance role, public accounting experience will also be considered.
• Construction industry experience required (from directly working for a business that has a construction component to their business or from Construction clients in public accounting).

Compensation:

$130,000 - $150,000 salary plus bonus
