Job summary

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever seeks a South Dakota Regional Representative to lead and energize local chapters and volunteers, driving conservation impact and membership growth across a wide geography. You will strengthen networks, elevate fundraising efforts, and coordinate with development staff to cultivate donors and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, wildlife conservation, education, or a related field.
• Experience of collaborating with volunteers, nonprofit boards, or grassroots campaigns preferred.
• Deep understanding of PF & QF’s mission and model.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you’re a connector and a motivator.
• Organized and self-driven, able to manage multiple projects across a broad geography.
• Comfortable using technology to support day-to-day work, troubleshoot issues for chapters, and clearly explain systems and processes to volunteers.
• Passion for conservation, the uplands, and the hunting community.
• Willingness to travel frequently within South Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Support and inspire PF & QF chapters to grow membership, support state and national programs, and deliver local habitat, education, and outreach efforts.
• Help chapters plan and execute impactful and innovative fundraising events.
• Launch new chapters and reinvigorate existing ones by developing strong volunteer leadership teams.
• Keep chapter leaders engaged through regular, motivational communication.
• Coordinate with Development staff to cultivate donors and partners.
• Organize and lead regional and statewide chapter meetings.
• Collaborate with peers across departments to deliver a unified conservation message to our volunteer base.
