Job summary

South Texas College seeks a Coordinator – External Affairs to advance community outreach, partnerships, and external engagement within an assigned geographic service area. You will cultivate relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, businesses, governmental entities, and civic partners to strengthen awareness of and access to College programs, services, and initiatives.

Under the direction of the Director of External Affairs, the coordinator identifies regional

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree preferred.
At least two years of experience in a professional work setting.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains relationships with community organizations, school districts, employers, chambers of commerce, and civic partners within the assigned area to strengthen the College's regional presence.
Identifies and supports strategic partnership opportunities to connect community needs with STC programs and workforce initiatives.
Coordinates informational meetings, campus visits, and presentations with stakeholders to increase awareness of College programs and services.
Maintains accurate records of stakeholder contacts, outreach activities, partnerships, referrals, meetings, and follow-up commitments.
