Job summary

The State of Colorado seeks a Community Parole Manager to lead parole services across five Western Slope offices, including Grand Junction, Durango, Montrose, Craig, and Rifle. You will supervise sworn and non-sworn staff, ensure evidence-based practices, and travel to maintain leadership presence across the region.

The role requires strategic staff development, budget oversight, and collaboration with law enforcement and community partners to advance public safety and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Social Science, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supervision standards of inmates/parolees per policy and directives.
• Create staffing patterns to meet changing needs across units.
• Direct investigations of prison/parolee violations and initiate related actions.
• Oversee adherence to procedures, regulations, and laws in community corrections and parole programs.
• Negotiate with law enforcement and agencies to expand and improve program services.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement, victims groups, and stakeholders to improve public safety.
• Oversee performance planning, evaluations, and staffing actions; approve hires and transfers.
• Develop staff strategies to meet program goals and ensure staff development.
